Daily Employer Tip: So it’s a date?

January 4th, 2011 | Hiring Resources | No Comments »

Don’t forget to check the dates on a candidate’s resume. Sure, they may be tucked away, aligned to the opposite side of the pages, but you might be missing important information if you neglect them. Did this candidate hop around from job to job every few months? Or have they been stuck in a stale position for the past 20 years? Are they trying to hide employment gaps by omitting specific months? Checking out the dates can provide you with valuable insight into the candidate’s work ethic, detail-oriented mindset, and general work history.
