Hiring managers don’t spend long reading resumes, and if yours reads like everyone else’s, you don’t stand much of a chance for getting the job.
The trick? Get creative with your verbs. Chuck out phrases like “was involved,” “assisted,” or “responsible for.” These sound boring, get repetitive, and don’t give readers a true insight to your level of activity.
Check out an online thesaurus for help in choosing creative yet professional verbs. Catch your reader’s attention, and you might just get that phone call you’ve been waiting for.
