Technology for Tweens
We at Ashley Ellis recognize that our success would not be possible without the support of our local communities. It is with gratitude that we give back to every community in which we have an office, by providing local schools with the technology their students need to succeed.
The idea behind “Technology for Tweens” is simple: We donate technology to a local school every time we successfully place a professional in a full time position. It’s as simple as that.
To aid us in our endeavors, we have partnered with DonorsChoose.org. Through this reputable online charity, we are able to provide new computers to classrooms without readily available technology.
We are helping communities across the United States, and as we open more offices, we will have the opportunity to respond to the needs of even more communities. It is highly rewarding to know that every time we find someone their dream job, we are also enriching the lives of children nationwide.
A Sample of Classrooms We’ve Helped
Mr. Chon’s classroom at Rogers Elementary School in Chicago now has a brand new computer thanks to the help of Ashley Ellis. This computer will help the students be more productive in the classroom, preparing them for their future careers and providing them with the tools to fulfill their dreams and goals.
“Your generosity is helping students who normally have limited access to computers and the internet. The students in the classroom will be pleased and thrilled to know that there are people who care about their education and that they are given the proper tools so that they can be successful,” said Mr. Chon. Dr. D’s preschool students at Haugan Elementary School in Chicago now have a brand new notebook, the perfect size for 3 and 4 year old’s tiny fingers! This notebook computer fulfills the only opportunity for these children to get hands-on experience with computers and the web, enhancing learning both in and outside the classroom.
Dr. D. expressed gratitude, saying, “Today’s preschool classroom is different from yesterday’s… This is a wonderful opportunity to introduce my preschoolers to technology. You have provided a new learning tool that will increase literacy and readiness skills in our classroom and lead individual development forward.” Read more here.
