Growth Opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians with Medi-Cal Expertise!
We are looking for Pharmacy Technicians with a background working in a specialty pharmacy and prior authorizations and Medi-Cal billing experience for Patient Access Coordinator openings. You will be responsible for assisting patients with their benefits, and schedule delivery of prescriptions. On a daily basis, you will perform prior authorizations, benefit investigations and insurance investigations and communicate with patients, insurance companies (Medi-Cal, along with Medicare and private insurance), nursing staff and employees within the pharmacy.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience as a pharmacy technician in a specialty pharmacy and have endorsement as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in California. You must bring at least 2 years of experience in a specialty pharmacy environment – any retail pharmacy experience is a huge plus. You must be able to navigate the Medi-Cal billing system and website, and also bring knowledge of dealing with private insurance and Medicare. Experience with prior authorizations, benefit investigations and insurance investigations is a must. In addition, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have a proven track record of providing highest quality customer service. Attention to detail and organization skills, as well as above average computer skills, will also be required.
Certified Pharmacy Technician
Specialty Pharmacy experience
Big Box Retail Pharmacy experience is a plus
Medi-Cal billing / investigation
Excellent customer service skills
