Growth Opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians with Benefits Investigation experience!

We are looking for Pharmacy Technicians with a background working in a non-insurance owned specialty pharmacy – any retail pharmacy experience is a plus –  and benefits investigation / insurance investigation / appeals experience for a Patient Access Coordinator opening. You will be responsible for assisting patients with their benefits and appeals. On a daily basis, you will perform prior authorizations, benefit investigations and insurance investigations and communicate with patients, insurance companies (Medi-Cal, Medicare, PBM’s and private insurance), nursing staff and employees within the pharmacy.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience as a pharmacy technician in a non-insurance owned specialty pharmacy, retail pharmacy exp is a plus, and have endorsement as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in Florida. You must bring at least 2 years of experience in a pharmacy outside of your externship. Experience with prior authorizations, benefit investigations, insurance investigations and appeals is a must. You must be knowledgeable in the entire prior authorization process, including reviewing medical plans, obtaining & completing PA forms, and obtaining clinical charts / labs. Bilingual in English & Spanish is a huge plus. In addition, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have a proven track record of providing highest quality customer service. Attention to detail and organization skills, as well as above average computer skills, will also be required.
