Growth Opportunity for Pharmacy Technicians with Prior Authorization experience!

We are looking for Pharmacy Technicians for a Patient Access Coordinator opening. You will be responsible for assisting patients with their benefits, and schedule delivery of prescriptions. On a daily basis, you will perform prior authorizations, benefit investigations and insurance verifications and communicate with patients, insurance companies (Medi-Cal, Medicare and private insurance), nursing staff and employees within the pharmacy.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail pharmacy, specialty pharmacy exp is a plus, and have endorsement as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in California. You must bring at least 2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy environment outside of your externship. Experience with prior authorizations, benefit investigations and insurance verifications is a must – as is experience with Medi-Cal, Medicare, PPO’s and HMO’s. You must be knowledgeable in the entire prior auths process, including reviewing medical plans, obtaining & completing PA forms, ICD-10 coding and obtaining clinical charts / labs. Home Infusion or IVIG knowledge is a plus. Bilingual in English & Spanish is a huge plus. In addition, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have a proven track record of providing highest quality customer service.
