Are you a Pharmacy Technician with QS1 experience that wants to advance their career?

We are looking for Pharmacy Technicians with a background working in a retail pharmacy with prior authorizations and benefit verifications for Patient Access Coordinator openings. You will be responsible for assisting patients by phone and email in a specialty pharmacy. On a daily basis, you will perform prior authorizations, benefit investigations and insurance investigations and communicate with patients, insurance companies (Medi-Cal, along with Medicare and private insurance), nursing staff and employees within the pharmacy.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience as a pharmacy technician in a specialty pharmacy and have endorsement as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in California. Highly prefer experience with NrX, QS1 and ADAP (at least one of those, with an emphasis on the QS1 experience). You must bring at least 2 years of experience in a retail pharmacy environment – any specialty pharmacy experience is a huge plus. Experience with prior authorizations, benefit investigations and insurance investigations is a must – with Medicare, Medi-Cal and commercial insurance. In addition, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have a proven track record of providing highest quality customer service. Attention to detail and organization skills, as well as above average computer skills, will also be required.
