Trade Compliance Expert Needed!
Trade Compliance Specialist needed to provide expertise for export and import activities. You will classify products for export according to regulations, and ensure reporting requirements are adhered to by employees at the manufacturing sites. Additionally, you will conduct audits on procedures and gather information to report potential or existing non-compliance. Training of staff on requirements and regulations, and support of the customer service department with regards to trade compliance issues, is another responsibility of this position.
A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in trade compliance is required. Strong working knowledge of trade compliance regulations (ITAR, OFAC, NRC, EAR) and US Customs and Border Protections required. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to shift priorities as needed. Strong problem-solving skills, good decision-making capabilities and excellent communications and interpersonal skills needed. This position may require some nights and weekends, and punctuality and dependability is key.
